At The Brand Makers, we firmly believe in the responsibility of giving back. Our community supports us, so we feel it is our duty to show our support right back.
In 2023 alone, we were proud to provide support through product and donations to the following organisations.
We’re proud to support:
Major Sponsorships
The Brand Makers is proud to be a major sponsor of Te Tamawai Trust, a charity working to break down barriers by providing personal development opportunities to children, with a focus on helping disadvantaged youth. Te Tamawai Trust provides two programmes, The Waterboy, and Taku Wairua to help empower tamariki and rangatahi on their journey towards adulthood.
The Waterboy
The Waterboy believes that sport is a key part of optimum personal development of youth and is breaking down barriers to reach their vision of every Kiwi having the opportunity to participate in sport. Here’s what the team has to say about us.
Taku Wairua
Taku Wairua is a personal development program created through observing common wellbeing deficiencies in rangatahi supported through The Waterboy.
Taku Wairua focuses on four main pillars of personal development, Belonging & Identity, Self-Discovery, Goal Setting and Citizenship and is delivered through primary schools in the Waikato region, with online sessions and tools made available for free through sponsorship and support.
The Brand Makers are a major sponsor
One of our largest sponsors is The Brand Makers. They choose to live their values by partnering with the Te Tamawai Trust Kaupapa to provide uniforms and sporting equipment for our recipients and uniforms for our team.
The Brand Makers are also a major sponsor for a couple of our recipients and supporters of Wiki Clarke.
All Taku Tairua bucket hats and staff uniforms are made possible thanks to the awesome support of The Brand Makers.
Liz, Mark and the whole team at The Brand Makers, thank you so much for choosing our charity as the ones you support to try and leave the world a better place for the next generation.
Thomas Nabbs, Te Tamawai Trust
Our staff have reached into their own pockets to support even more people in need to
donate 8 beds to the Variety Club Warm Hearts Appeal
support Breakfast Club Food Drives
pay the $2,000 excess for a local school when their tech unit was burgled
donate Sports Clubs kits for families unable to purchase
support a local young man Tyson with $500 to help him and his family to fundraise for his fight against Leukaemia.
We’ve also been there in times of need, to support those escaping dangerous situations, and by providing clothing to accident or emergency patients whose clothing has been damaged.
