Sustainability

Here at The Brand Makers, we are committed to protecting the environment and working towards a better tomorrow. We believe those in a position to make a positive change should do so.

Recently, our goal has been focused on choosing more eco-friendly and environmentally-friendly packaging options and where possible, choosing environmentally responsible partners, and developing sustainable products.

Compostable Bags

In 2023, we made improvements to our branded uniform packaging, swapping out all our single-use plastics in our sports apparel lines for a compostable material, made from cornstarch which can be composted completely at home or a commercial compost facility.

We recommend that you place any cardboard or paper packaging from The Brand Makers in the recycling bin or return it to The Brand Makers so we can reuse it.

Better Packaging with POLLAST!C™

We’ve also swapped out our mailer plastic packaging for POLLAST!C ™, a range of packaging made from recycled, certified Ocean bound Plastic pollution, rescued from coastal communities throughout Southeast Asia, helping improve the ocean environment and local economy.

POLLAST!C mailers delivers on 13 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

When you make an online order from The Brand Makers, it will arrive in POLLAST!C™ packaging.

We’re really excited by the amount of impact we can make by this switch to POLLAST!C™ mailing satchels/poly bags/document pouches. The bags are also carbon neutral. Please recycle them with soft plastics.

Uniform recycling

For uniforms that meet our exceptional quality checking processes, we can hold these in stock for the same customers to reuse when required. If they don’t pass our quality check, we will select an appropriate end of life alternative. This could be donating to a local charity, shredding them to be used as stuffing in boxing bags or completely repurposing them into new fibre products via our partnerships.

For factories we use, environmental and ethical certifications are available on request to our clients. Our partners are independently audited and certified.
